1. Visitors to our Website
Our website is hosted by UK2.net When someone visits the Hair & Barber Council website we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. If we do want to collect personally identifiable information through our website, we will be up front about this. We will make it clear when we collect personal information and will explain what we intend to do with it.
Use of cookies by the Hair & Barber Council website
Cookies are only used on our website to facilitate Google Analytics and to store user inputted data to enable the site to give the best user experience.
Security
Firewalls and anti-virus technologies are used to protect the data we hold. Only authorised staff at the Hair & Barber Council have user names and passwords needed to access our data.
Blog and 3rd party advertising
The Hair & Barber Council’s Blog is part of our website platform and does not use a third-party provider. No 3rd party advertising networks are hosted within our website.
2. People who contact us via e-mail or phone

When you call the Hair & Barber Council we collect Calling Line Identification (CLI) information. We use this information to help improve its efficiency and effectiveness.
We will monitor any emails sent to us, including file attachments, for viruses or malicious software. Please be aware that you have a responsibility to ensure that any email you send is within the bounds of the law. 3. People who use our services
We have to hold the details of the people who have requested a service in order to provide it. However, we only use these details to provide the service the person has requested and for other closely related purposes. For example, we might use information about people who have requested to attend one of our events to find out if they would like to become members. Newsletters
As part of its service the Hair & Barber Council sends out regular newsletters to all its members. Each contains a link that enables the recipient to unsubscribe for future newsletters.
Hair & Barber Council Events
Events may be attended by both members and non-members. Non-members must register their contact details and make any payments necessary prior to the event.
After the event, any non-members will be contacted once to ask if they’d like to become members of the Hair & Barber Council.
Marketing offers
From time to time the Hair & Barber Council sends 3rd party marketing offers to its members. These are only sent to members who have given their consent. Each e-mail contains an opt out link that enables you to unsubscribe at any time.

The Hair & Barber Council tries to meet the highest standards when collecting and using personal information. For this reason, we take any complaints we receive about this very seriously. Security
Our Website, Systems and Data are protected by using antivirus software.
Data are protected on our systems by using passwords which only the staff at the Hair and Barber council and an individual at an IT company which maintains our computers. Passwords are changed on a regular basis.
Data are protected by using passwords to 2 computers known only to member of staff at the Hair & Barber Council, these passwords are changed on a regular basis.
Jurisdiction of data processing and storage
No data are stored or processed by the Hair & Barber Council or its data processors outside of the EU.
