The past influencing the future!
The Hair and Barber Council, Guild of Hairdressers, and Aston and Fincher are making industry history!
The Guild of Hairdressers has closed its doors after working with Hairdressers and Barbers in the UK for the past 155 years. Their final contribution to the sector is to instigate a celebration of the past so that Hairdressers and Barbers of the future will have a place to visit to reflect and understand the progress the industry has made throughout the decades.
This will be captured by the setting up of a ‘Museum’ which will be based at Aston and Fincher’s Birmingham premises, where in conjunction with The Guild of Hairdressers and the Hair and Barber Council, a display of industry memorabilia will be on display for all industry to visit when in the area. Included will be the ‘Masters Jewel’ worn by successive ‘Presidents’ of the Guild over the years.
The Guild of Hairdressers would like to thank all members past and present for the dedication they have shown to the Guild and to the industry over the years, and hope that this piece of industry history will be enjoyed by many for years to come.
